DRC_Energy : Jean-Bosco Kayombo acquitted but still a prisoner

Former Director General of the National Electricity Company of the DRC, Jean-Bosco Kayombo was declared innocent by the justice of his country against the charges of embezzlement which weighed against him.

Since October 22, 2022, Mr. Kayombo had been placed under a provisional arrest warrant at the Kinshasa central prison for a case involving in particular the South African bank (S.A.B) in the financing of blue energy, a mixed company under Congolese law.

Blue energy, had as a witness, rejected all the charges brought against the former director general of the national electricity company of the DRC, while, Mr. Kayombo is cleared today by the justice of his country a polemic takes of the scale in the networks on his prolonged and without reason detention in prison by the general prosecutor’s office of Kinshasa Gombe.
